Hong Kong’s geology inspires Hermès’ Lee Gardens boutique redesign
Hermès’ Lee Gardens boutique in Hong Kong has reopened following a full renovation. Originally designed by the Parisian firm RDAI, the updated store reflects local Hong Kong influences. The exterior features stone, while the interior uses metal panels and showcases Japanese artist Ryu Mitarai's triptych Being Alive of dynamic horse imagery. The three-story store’s design evokes natural elements, with a mosaic floor mimicking tree roots and a decorative glass staircase resembling a waterfall. The first floor features a wooden space for bags, leather, watches, and jewelry, and the store’s new design honors Hong Kong’s rugged coastal geology.
