Abercrombie & Fitch eyes Hong Kong comeback after 8-year hiatus

Eight years after exiting the Hong Kong market, Abercrombie & Fitch is considering a return with plans to lease two large stores in the region, including locations in Hysan Place and New Town Plaza, according to Bloomberg. The brand initially opened a flagship store in Hong Kong in 2012 but closed it in 2016 due to declining sales. Since then, Abercrombie & Fitch has undergone a significant transformation under CEO Fran Horowitz, who has revamped the company’s image, marketing strategy, and inclusivity efforts. The brand’s comeback is reflected in its recent stock price surge and a 21% increase in net sales for the second quarter of the current financial year, reaching $133.17 million.
