LVMH said eying Sarah Burton to revitalize Givenchy
According to sources cited by Miss Tweed, Sarah Burton, the former Creative Director of Alexander McQueen under the Kering Group, is in talks with Givenchy, a luxury brand under the LVMH Group, to potentially become the new Creative Director. Since the departure of Givenchy’s former Creative Director Matthew M. Williams in December last year, the brand has yet to announce a successor. Analysts suggest that LVMH aims to elevate Givenchy’s image within its luxury brand portfolio and has recently appointed Alessandro Valenti, who spent 10 years at Louis Vuitton, as the new CEO in hopes of revitalizing Givenchy.
