SMCP Group, which owns Sandro, Maje, and Claudie Pierlot, reported a 3.6% drop in organic sales to 585.3 million euros ($631.5 million) for the first half of the year, resulting in a net loss of 27.7 million euros ($29.5 million), compared to a profit of 14 million euros ($14.8 million) last year. Sales in the Asia-Pacific region dropped 19.9% to 106.2 million euros ($112.8 million), while other regions saw stable or increasing sales. CEO Isabelle Guichot noted ongoing efforts to boost profitability amid restructuring in China and inflation-related costs, with plans to close 100 stores and focus on digital operations and wholesale expansion.
