Chanel last week opened the retrospective “Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto” exhibition at the Power Station of Art in Shanghai. It runs through November 24. The exhibition features over 200 pieces from the Palais Galliera, Chanel’s heritage collections, and other international art institutions and private collections, showcasing suits, perfumes, jewelry, and more. It offers a fresh perspective on Gabrielle Chanel’s iconic style, structured chronologically and thematically into two main chapters: her creations from the 1910s to 1930s, and her works after her return to the fashion world from 1954 to 1971.
