In the first half of 2024, China registered record sales of 4.397 million new energy vehicles (NEVs), increasing the total NEVs on the road to 24.72 million, a 39.41% YoY rise. The country now has 440 million motor vehicles, including 345 million cars, with all-electric cars comprising 73.36% of the NEV population. Additionally, 13.97 million new drivers were licensed, bringing the total to 532 million.
