Shein to re-enter Indian market through Reliance deal

Shein is poised to enter India through a partnership with Reliance Retail Ventures, as reported by the Economic Times. The deal, set in motion last year, will see Shein’s products sold via Reliance Retail’s app and stores. Manish Chopra, formerly of Meta, is expected to lead Shein’s operations in India. Reliance Retail will manage all operations and own data rights, paying Shein a licensing fee. This marks Shein’s return to India after being banned four years ago amid geopolitical tensions.
