Louis Vuitton confirms UK customer data breach
French luxury brand Louis Vuitton has confirmed that a recent cyberattack resulted in unauthorized access to some personal information of its U.K. customers. Payment data was not affected. The company has launched an internal investigation and notified both the U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office and impacted individuals. This is the third data breach involving LVMH in just three months. Prior incidents affected Dior in China and Louis Vuitton in South Korea. Franck Le Moal, LVMH’s Chief Information Officer, noted that cybercrime is growing at an "exponential" rate.
