Huawei partners with GAC to launch luxury EV brand

Huawei has partnered with state-owned Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) to create a new luxury electric vehicle brand and accelerate its presence in the premium EV market. Rather than producing cars itself, Huawei applies its advanced ICT and software capabilities to develop smart and autonomous vehicle ecosystems in collaboration with automakers, reducing risks and costs while boosting efficiency. This strategic approach has already proven successful, as seen with its Aito brand, created with Ceres Group, which quickly gained market prominence. The partners unveiled plans for high-end EVs like the Zunze (Maestro), targeting competitors such as BMW 7 Series.
