Chanel renews Cambridge University sustainability collab
Chanel announced the extension of its partnership with the University of Cambridge for another three years on September 19, building on their 2021 agreement to enhance sustainable transformation efforts. This renewed collaboration aims to strengthen educational programs for Chanel leaders on sustainable business practices, explore innovative solutions across the value chain, develop regenerative business models, and provide bursary funding for students pursuing sustainability leadership courses. Kate Wylie, Chanel’s global chief sustainability officer, emphasized the importance of informed solutions to address global challenges, noting that the partnership has already upskilled 500 Chanel team members and inspired a sense of responsibility towards sustainability. Together, Chanel and the university will focus on building sustainability skills, implementing innovative solutions, and supporting students in sustainable leadership.
