No buyers found: Dion Lee set to shut down operations
Australian luxury brand Dion Lee will go into liquidation after three months in voluntary administration due to failure to attract buyers. Major investor Cue has withdrawn its stake in the business. Antony Resnick of DVT Group has been seeking a buyer to save the fashion brand, founded in Sydney, since May. However, after months of unsuccessful attempts, the decision has been made to shut down the company, now headquartered in New York. Dion Lee’s retail stores in Australia are expected to remain open until the end of September or early October, and its website is likely to continue operating until early November. Founded in 2009, Dion Lee was largely acquired by Australian brand and retailer Cue in 2013. The brand currently operates a store in Miami and six stores in Australia.
