Top Chinese influencer rents Hong Kong office amid market struggles

Hong Kong’s struggling office rental market has received a boost from an unexpected tenant: Zhang Qingyang, also known as Crazy Xiaoyangge, or “crazy little Brother Yang,” one of China’s top influencers. Zhang’s company, Three Sheep Group, has rented a 517 sqm office in Wan Chai for HK$183,000 ($23,464) a month as it establishes a branch in the city. The opening ceremony was attended by notable Hong Kong celebrities like Eric Tsang and Alan Tam. Despite high vacancy rates and declining rents in the city, there has been a recent uptick in office inquiries from mainland companies. Founded by Zhang in 2021, Three Sheep is a prominent MCN platform specializing in various services for online creators.
