    Just in time for festivities, leading multi-brand retailer Dover Street Market has dropped an exclusive capsule with frilly womenswear favorite Shushu/Tong. Also spotlighted this week, Adidas Originals has once again teamed up with Chinese streetwear brand Hamcus, one of the mainland’s most coveted labels among hypebeast Gen Zers.

    Social context: Clottee by Clot has just 9,995 fans on Weibo, and on Xiaohongshu #Clottee has 611,800 views.

    The verdict:

    • Clottee by Clot is collaborating with Tokyo-based brands Atmos and Medicom Toy for a new Be@brick collection, featuring both 100% and 400% sizes.
    • The collaborative Be@brick design boasts a bright red chrome finish with vivid yellow accents, incorporating key features such as star-shaped eyes and a transparent torso reminiscent of Atmos' distinctive Be@brick designs.
    • The transparent circular window on the Be@brick's torso reveals an intricate internal arrangement of mini-red stars, adding a layer of detail and complexity. Additionally, Atmos branding is featured on the front window, complemented by "Clottee" on the back, and the iconic five-point star motif is incorporated into the design.

    Adidas Originals x Hamcus#

    Social context: Hamcus has 9,857 fans on Weibo, over on Xiaohongshu #Hamcus has 5.9million views.

    The verdict:

    • Chinese streetwear leader Hamcus introduced the "Duszenration" concept during the 2021 spring and summer series, leading to the creation of the "Dusty Universe" worldview and a unique dressing style.
    • In December last year, Adidas Originals collaborated with Hamcus for the first time, extending the concept to a joint series.
    • Hamcus has garnered favor among the Generation Z demographic, reflected in its substantial engagement on Xiaohongshu, a platform driven by this age group. It’s a gateway for Adidas to connect with its local following in the mainland.
