Chanel acquires 35% stake in Italian silk maker Mantero

Chanel has acquired a stake in Italian silk manufacturer Mantero Seta, furthering its long-term strategy of supporting high-quality suppliers. According to an official statement, the investment is described as a “natural extension” of the two companies' partnership, which spans more than five decades. Italian media reports that Chanel has acquired a 35% stake in Mantero Seta. The company, known for its heritage in silk production, is currently led by Franco Mantero, a fourth-generation member of the founding family, and will continue to operate independently, supplying multiple clients including Chanel.
