Kuaishou reports 11.8% revenue growth via AI-driven expansion
China’s online video platform and social media company Kuaishou reported 2024 revenue of 126.9 billion RMB ($17.6 billion), up 11.8%, with adjusted net profit rising 72.5% to 17.7 billion RMB ($2.45 billion). AI initiatives played a key role, with its Keling AI model generating over 100 million RMB ($13.8 million) in revenue. Online marketing grew 20.1% to 72.4 billion RMB ($10.1 billion), and e-commerce GMV hit 1.39 trillion RMB ($193 billion) for the year. Q4 daily active users reached a record 401 million, while short-video commerce GMV rose over 50%. Overseas revenue jumped 52.9%, with strong user growth in Brazil.
