Macau tourism hit 34.93M visitors in 2024

Macau received 34.93 million visitors in 2024, a YoY increase of 23.6%, driven by measures such as the expansion of mainland China’s individual travel scheme for Hong Kong and Macau. Among them, mainland visitors accounted for 24.48 million, representing 70.1% of the total and a YoY growth of 28.6%. The data also revealed that Macau’s border crossings recorded a total of approximately 210 million entries and exits throughout the year, a 17.5% increase and a new historical high. Additionally, single-day peak traffic volumes at all Macau border points, as well as at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and Hengqin Port, also reached record levels.
