Bottega Veneta has released a creative short film to mark the 2025 Chinese New Year, filmed in Liuyang, Hunan Province, known as the birthplace of fireworks. The film captures the festive atmosphere of the season, using fireworks to symbolize hope and celebration. The film features global brand ambassador Shu Qi (舒淇), brand ambassador Yang Youning (杨祐宁), and actor Fan Wei (范伟). It was directed by Wing Shya (夏永康), a renowned photographer and graphic designer who has previously collaborated with director Wong Kar-wai (王家卫). The soundtrack includes a remixed version of Stefanie Sun’s (孙燕姿) Green Light, produced by Belgian artist Le Motel. Bottega Veneta also introduced a new collection for the occasion, including the snake-shaped Tosca handbag and the jade ball Tosca handbag, designed to symbolize purity and good fortune for the Year of the Snake.
