China’s cross-border e-commerce surges 5.3% YoY to $275B
China’s Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong announced at a press briefing last week that digital trade is emerging as a key trend in international trade and economic development. In the first three quarters of 2024, China’s trade in digitally deliverable services reached 2.13 trillion RMB ($291 billion), marking a 5.3% YoY increase. Cross-border e-commerce imports and exports totaled 1.88 trillion RMB ($257 billion), up 11.5% from the previous year, both achieving record levels.
