Moncler revenue rises 6% despite Q3 slowdown

Italian luxury group Moncler has reported a 6% YoY revenue increase to 1.87 billion euros ($2.01 billion) for the first three quarters of the year, although Q3 revenue fell 3% to 640 million euros ($688 million). Moncler’s core brand saw an 8% revenue rise to 1.57 billion euros ($1.68 billion) for the first nine months, with a 3% decline in Q3 to 530 million euros ($573 million), impacted by weaker consumer confidence in South Korea and normalized tourist traffic in Japan. Revenue in Asia grew 11% YoY but dropped 2% in Q3. Stone Island’s revenue fell 5% to 290 million euros ($313 million) in the first three quarters, with a 4% decrease in Q3. However, its Asian revenue rose 23% to 68.1 million euros ($73.5 million) in the same period, boosted by strong demand in Japan. Moncler CEO Remo Ruffini noted ongoing fluctuations in the luxury industry and complex macroeconomic conditions but emphasized the group’s commitment to building lasting customer connections.
