Ann Andelman expands in China amid sluggish apparel market
In July, the retail sales of clothing, shoes, hats, and textiles in China totaled 93.6 billion RMB, a 5.2% YoY decline, while sales from January to July only increased 0.5%. Despite this sluggish market, French designer brand Ann Andelman has been expanding in China, opening stores in Ningbo, Guiyang, and Changchun, along with a pop-up in Nanning. Targeting mid-range consumers, the brand is known for its gender-neutral designs.
