Japanese skincare brand Takami to consolidate Tmall stores
Japanese skincare brand Takami will close its overseas Tmall flagship store on September 12. As of September 9, the store had 357,000 followers, while its official Tmall flagship store remains active with 190,000 followers. Despite this, sales on the official store are higher, with up to 30,000 buyers for a single product, compared to only 800-plus for the overseas store. Takami’s Little Blue Bottle Essence once ranked second on Tmall’s acne treatment list. Founded in 1999 in Tokyo, Takami focuses on gentle formulations for Asian skin and was acquired by L’Oréal in December 2020.
