Data released by the General Administration of Customs yesterday revealed that in the first half of this year, China’s exports of sporting goods and equipment increased by 16.7% YoY, outpacing the overall export growth rate by 9.8 percentage points. According to a report from the World Trade Organization, global trade in sporting goods has nearly tripled over the past 30 years, with China becoming the world’s largest exporter of sporting goods during this period.
