Douyin e-commerce yesterday reported that during the Hot Pioneer Season campaign from July 20 to August 2, sales of sports-related products on Douyin e-commerce grew by 43% YoY. Other popular categories included fashion, beauty, electronics, and food and beverages. During this period, Olympics-related searches on Douyin totaled over 1 billion, generating nearly 10 Olympics-related hot topics daily. Additionally, the Hot Pioneer Season campaign saw Douyin Mall’s sales increase by 83% YoY, and search-driven sales grew by 68%. Livestreaming hours also rose by 41%, contributing to increased content engagement. Top-selling items on the platform included protein powder, sportswear, fishing gear, bicycles, and pool cues.
