Arc’teryx, Google startup launch $5K power-assisted pants

Arc’teryx has teamed up with Skip, a startup from Google’s innovation lab, to launch the Mo/Go powered pants. This new exoskeleton system combines carbon fiber, motors, and batteries to provide 40% power assistance, easing muscle strain and protecting knee joints. The Mo/Go, designed as a mobility aid rather than a medical device, will be available for pre-order at $4,500 and is expected to retail for $5,000 upon release in late 2024. It will debut at the Arc’teryx Climbing Academy in August 2024.
