The Ministry of Culture and Tourism reported stable growth in domestic tourism for the first half of the year. Approximately 2.73 billion visits were recorded, a 14.3% YoY increase, with 2.09 billion visits from urban residents and 638 million from rural residents. Travelers’ spending also rose, reaching 2.73 trillion RMB ($376.4 billion), up 19% YoY.
