Tang has successfully led Esquire Magazine’s development in China from business-facing to consumer-facing and facilitated a series of local-collaboration projects to familiarize Chinese consumers with this men’s publication under the American media conglomerate Hearst. If the rumor turns out to be true, it’s highly anticipated that GQ China will make headlines in China's luxury and media industries in the near future. Irene Lin, VP of Marriott in Asia Pacific Discussed Future of Starwood’s Loyalty Program post-Marriott Merger Irene Lin became the vice president of digital, loyalty, and portfolio marketing of Marriott in the Asia Pacific region after the company of her initial employment, Starwood Hotels, was purchased by Marriott last year. In the mark of the one-year anniversary of the merger, she talked to Campaign Asia about how she handled the handover of Starwood's loyalty program Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) and the challenges she faced. The SPG loyalty program is one of the most successful experiments in the marketing of hotel loyalty programs, according to Lin, and it has brought Starwood more than half of its clientele. Lin said it was difficult to remedy the loss that Starwood members suffered after the merger and the hotel had lost some of its old members.
