Featuring nearly 30 events including fashion shows, seminars, and presentations, Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2014 will be staged from July 8-11, 2013 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, whose theme this year is "Sweet Fashionland," will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. The week's fashion shows will be featuring promising designers and brands, as well as new design talents and creative student works. The week's seminars and presentations will be hosted by international trend forecasting agencies, local institutes and industry bodies, renowned stylists, and designers who will all be offering fresh insights from each of their professional perspectives.

The fair hosts seven unique house shows. The Two Brands Collection Shows will feature Dianthus D’kangala and Rough Wave from Angola, and Gregorius Vici and Angela Chung from Indonesia. A Designers’ Collection Show will showcase innovative collections of designers from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines, as well as labels from Macau in a standalone show.

According to Vogue Italy, Hong Kong Fashion Week is becoming an increasingly important global event. It wrote of January's event:

For the first year, the historical fair of this city is not only a fair created for its buyers, but it also lays the foundations to become an established fashion week on a global level. To prove this, it chose to show on the catwalk 4 designers coming from different areas of the world: China, France, UK.
