The entrance to the Tianmu Mountain Natural Reserve. (IDEA Design Lab) For the first time ever, China-based designers have the invaluable opportunity to receive a wealth of inspiration from China’s natural landscape at Asia’s inaugural Biomimicry 3.8 Institute training workshop from August 22 to 27. Held by IDEA Design Lab in conjunction with TongJi University and GIGA, the six-day training course in the Tianmu Mountain Natural Reserve will introduce attendees “to a whole new way of viewing and valuing the genius that surrounds us” and help improve their ability to innovate sustainably in their fields. The event features “hands-on experience with the deep patterns of the way life works, a biomimicry design challenge, the essential elements of biomimicry, and the biomimicry thinking design approach.” Look below for the event poster and visit the website for more information.
