Hainan Rendez-Vous To Feature Gulfstream Aircraft And Leading Yacht Brands#
Gulfstream will display their G150 business jet at the Hainan Rendez-Vous
Hainan Rendez-Vous, the ultra luxury event and exhibition dedicated to business jets, large yachts and the accompanying luxury lifestyle, is set to take place next weekend, from April 1-4. The event, for which Jing Daily is a media partner, is expected to draw some 8,000 Chinese high net worth individuals and fit in with the Chinese government's greater plan to promote Hainan island as a premier international tourism and yachting hub.
The latest from the Hainan Rendez-Vous is the announcement of product displays from aircraft company Gulfstream and yacht industry leaders from the Beneteau Group, Lagoon, CNB Yachts & Superyachts, and Monte Carlo Yachts. Gulfstream will display their large-cabin and long-range G550 and wide-cabin and high-speed G150. According to Roger Sperry, Gulfstream Regional SVP of International Sales, "Gulfstream's Asian-Pacific fleet has grown by more than 250 percent in the past five years." With the gradual liberalization of China's low-altitude airspace, Gulfstream -- like most private aviation manufacturers -- expects China to become a key market in the near future.
On the yachting front, Beneteau will put Oceanis 50, Oceanis 46 and Oceanis 43 sailing yachts on display, along with Flyer Gran Turismo 38 and Antares 39 power boats. Of these, the Flyer Gran Turismo, part of the new Express Cruiser range, will have its world premiere at Hainan Rendez-Vous. Lagoon, a world leader in cruising catamarans, will display its Lagoon 400 and 620 models, designed by architects Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prévost. CNB Yachts will attempt to one-up its rivals by offering custom yacht design, and also plans to introduce its Bordeaux 60 sailing yacht to the China market. As for Monte Carlo Yachts, their award-winning Monte Carlo 76 will see its Asian premiere at Hainan Rendez-Vous.
This long line-up of business jets and luxury yachts is only part of the festivities planned to attract ultra high net worth Chinese to the so-called "Chinese Riviera."
