In an event which brought the fashion world together to celebrate the success and development of the Chinese fashion industry, the China Beauty Charity Fund (CBCF) hosted its China Fashion Night Gala on September 6 at the Pierre Hotel. In addition to honoring Chinese fashion pioneer Vivienne Tam, the gala featured a presentation of legendary Chinese designer Guo Pei’s collection for the first time in the United States. The event also benefited CBCF’s scholarship at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), which offers talented Chinese artists the opportunity to study at the New York school.
Attendees included top Chinese and international fashion icons, including CBCF founder and Chinese American entrepreneur Yue-Sai Kan, Chinese supermodels Du Juan and Liu Wen, actor Archie Kao, HRH The Princess of Udaipur Padmaja Kumari Parmar, Iconix China President Veronica Chou, designer Tadashi Shoji, fashion designer Zang Toi, Karolina Kurkova, and many other notable guests.
