"For Freedom" Watch By Literary Bad Boy Han Han Will Be Auctioned On Taobao Until April 11#
Personalized Han Han "For Freedom" Hublot
Han Han, literary voice of China's "post-80s" generation and occasional Formula 1 racer, has personalized a limited-edition Hublot F1 watch for a charity auction to benefit actor (and Hublot brand ambassador) Jet Li's One Foundation, a partnership with the Red Cross Society of China. Taking place on Taobao from now until April 12, the online auction features a one-off limited-edition Hublot F1 inscribed with Han Han's signature and the words "For Freedom” on the back plate. Those interested in taking part are required to put down a refundable 500 yuan deposit, and bids must be at least 1000 yuan over the current winning bid. (Which currently sits at 100,000 yuan, or US$15,300.)
As Han Han, using uncharacteristic PR-speak, said at the charity launch event this week, "I consider Hublot to be like an old friend. They've sponsored Formula 1 and the World Cup, two of my favorite sporting events, and of course, the key thing is that their watches are beautiful, and particularly like their materials and texture. I've got great admiration for Hublot's commitment to philanthropy, too."
Besides the watch, the winner of the charity auction will receive two VIP tickets to the Shanghai Formula One Grand Prix and charity dinner on April 15. Hublot will also select five followers of its Sina charity blog to receive "Platinum" tickets to the Grand Prix, worth 3280 yuan (US$500) each.
Additionally, running along with the charity auction from now until April 11, Hublot will donate 100 yuan ($15) to the One Foundation for every new follower on the Hublot Sina blog. Give it a click; it's for a good cause.
