    Launched to great fanfare in August 2009, Australian art collector Judith Neilsen's White Rabbit Gallery in Sydney holds nearly 200 works by 60 Chinese artists, built up over the course of Neilsen's numerous trips to China over the past 11 years. Since opening two years ago, White Rabbit has developed a reputation for displaying works by Chinese artists ranging from superstars to the unknown, organizing unorthodox exhibitions and maintaining a flexibility and playfulness that most serious galleries forgo.

    Running now through September 30, the Samstag Museum at the University of South Australia in Adelaide is displaying a major exhibition of selected works from the White Rabbit Collection as part of the Adelaide Festival Centre's 2011 OzAsia Festival.

    Showing a range of paintings, sculptures, animation, new media and installation works, the White Rabbit Collection exhibition at the Samstag presents pieces by Chinese artists including Cang Xin, Yan Baishen, Sun Furong, Bu Hua, Shi Jindian, Wu Junyong, Huang Keyi /Chen Zhuo, Shen Liang, Zhou Xiaohu, Bai Yiluo, Dong Yuan and Wang Zhiyuan.
