Nathan Zhang's Beijing Store "Brand Nü" Is First Charity Shop Of Its Kind In The Chinese Capital#
Today, China Daily posted an interview with Nathan Zhang, the owner of the Beijing charity shop "Brand Nü" -- a play on words that incorporates the Chinese word nü (女, or "woman"). Selling a wide variety of Chinese handicrafts, as well as books, folk art, clothing and collectibles, Brand Nü donates 100% of profits to the local NGO Rural Women (农家女文化发展中心), which provides aid to support women in impoverished areas throughout rural China.
