is jumping feet-first -- no pun intended -- into the world of Chinese social media with the launch of official Sina Weibo, Youku, and Tudou accounts.

Joining virtually every other luxury label under the sun on these platforms is only the first part of a multi-stage campaign to not only aggressively build its presence in China but also to combat rampant counterfeiting. (And to catch up to the success of its Western social media efforts --currently, the brand has over a million Instagram fans.)

According to a company release, the China digital expansion is just one aspect of a holistic Asia-Pacific strategy, which in the months ahead will encompass a new e-commerce site to service countries in the APAC region, a simplified Chinese official website, and a dedicated anti-counterfeit "Stop Fake" site.
