In partnership with Launchmetrics, the leading brand performance cloud for fashion, luxury, and beauty, Jing Daily is offering a scholarship for a place on the Msc. Luxury Tech Entrepreneurship & Affluencers Management — an academic and research program focused on luxury tech at the University of Côte d’Azur in France.
The course focuses on analyzing “affluencers” — affluent consumers who also influence the shopping and buying behaviors of others. Taking a scientific approach, it uses systems, artificial intelligence, deep learning, predictive analysis, nowcasting, semantic web, customer analysis, behavioral economics, and emotions to decode luxury’s future drivers.
The luxury opportunity
“From a journalistic standpoint, we can no longer ignore the significant influence of technology on fashion,” says Enrique Menendez, editor in chief of Jing Daily. “The livelihood of the industry depends on a new generation who can think differently and approach fashion and technology as one from the onset of their careers.”
Michael Jais, CEO of Launchmetrics, continues, stating, “There is no doubt that the luxury landscape has changed over the past year — and luxury marketing has changed with it, requiring new methods and new approaches to reach the modern consumer.” Therefore, this degree offers a unique combination of skills to future graduates in the field.
Co-developed with Launchmetrics, this highly professional program draws primarily on the University’s knowledge in academia and the City of Cannes’ resources, as well as industry expertise. From Launchmetrics to TikTok, the program brings together professionals from all over the world who lead field projects and research collaborations that explore and define consumers of both today and the future.
These partnerships include top companies such as LVMH and Clarins as well as guest workshops from market experts, including Pascal Morand, executive president of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode; Xavier Romatet, general manager at the French Fashion Institute (Institut Français de la Mode, IFM); Chinese beauty KOL and makeup artist, Melilim Fu; and Jing Daily’s features director, Gemma A. Williams.
