Bund Retail Location Is Brand's First In Mainland China#

While it may be virtually unknown in the West, the Tokyo-based lingerie brand Peach John has quietly become Japan's answer to more established companies like Victoria's Secret or Triumph. Focused primarily at the teen-20s demographic and priced at the "affordable luxury" level, Peach John has quickly made inroads in the lucrative China market, opening two locations in Hong Kong since 2008 and this week launching its first mainland branch in Shanghai.

According to Hulu Lady, the official launch of Peach John in Shanghai was marked by a press conference at the Peninsula Hotel, attended by company founder Mika Noguchi and the Hong Kong supermodel "Angelababy."

It was also reported at the press conference that Peach John will also launch an online shop for Chinese customers next month, and the company plans to open three stores in Shanghai, in Xujiahui, Xintiandi, and Lujiazui.
