SCMP China Conference: USA

SCMP China Conference: United States — Competition or Cooperation?

Can meaningful cooperation be unearthed between China and The United States? Could the trade war irreparably debilitate their long-held, foundational economic partnership? How are diplomatic differences between the two superpowers impacting economies domestically and globally?

South China Morning Post‘s China Conference: USA, taking place in New York, will bring together over 350 China-watchers and the China-curious to learn about and debate how the global economic, social and technological landscapes will evolve during this time of immense competition and conflict between these two rival superpowers, and establish a framework for rebuilding positive, albeit competitive, dialogue between them.

Business leaders, government officials and researchers from China and the United States will join neutral commentators for a brief history lesson in US-China relations, before examining how both countries are intertwined. Thought-provoking debates on what the future holds for immigration and diasporas, tech development, trade and industry, and intermingled cultures will follow, while brain dates and social events throughout the conference will enable productive connection and networking.
