. A collaboration between brewmasters Michael Jordan of the Boxing Cat and Tom Newman of The Celt Experience, the new beer, "Cat Scratched Celt," combines the two brewers' distinct philosophies and backgrounds.

Known for bringing ancient Celtic brewing methods into the modern age, The Celt Experience is known for its organic, handcrafted ales and lager, while the Boxing Cat has, since its establishment in early 2008, established itself as Shanghai's preeminent American-style craft brewery. For their first collaboration, The Celt Experience and the Boxing Cat have created a hoppy US West-Coast Amber beer using four distinct American hop varieties balanced by a strong malt backbone. The combination of Citra and Mosaic hops results in aromatic notes of passion fruit and pineapple, giving Shanghai's hop-heads plenty to enjoy.

Pouring now at the Boxing Cat's location at Sinan Mansions, Cat Scratched Celt will also be brewed by The Celt Experience in Wales on a larger scale. The Celt Experience version of the brew will be available in Wales and England under the same name and branding as that currently on tap in China.
