, by Fabrica designers Dean Brown and Philip Bone, is set to take Hong Kong by storm from February 7-26 under the theme "Authentic." According to Fabrica, "Authentic speaks about the idea of what is genuine and what is not - particularly relevant to Hong Kong as a place that shares aspects of European and Chinese Culture - a place caught between different values. Authenticity touches everything from food, to production to song writing - something intangible but very real to the maker or the observer. Authentic is also tradition and custom."

Stocked with pieces contributed by people around the world, the Hong Kong installment of the Mobile Museum welcomes any interpretation, loose or literal, of the "Authentic" theme, ranging from photos and found objects to homemade sculptures, postcards, and doodles. The event takes place at the creative space Ilivetomorrow, known for its experimental design ethos and innovative collaborations with designers, artists, architects and manufacturers.

In addition to its installment in Beijing, in 2011 and 2012 the MOBILE MUSEUM was presented at the Milan Furniture Fair, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London as part of the “Friday Late Summer Camp program”; the Architecture Museum in Brussels as part of “Design September”; the MUDAM in Luxembourg; and the Design Museum in Helsinki as part of “Designworld."
