    Event Watch: Bund Classic 2015 (Shanghai)

    As China's first classic car show, the Bund Classic will kick off in Shanghai for the third year in a row on October 16.

    From October 16-18, the third annual edition of China’s first classic car show and Concours d’Elegance will arrive in Shanghai. Organized by China Rendez-Vous, the Bund Classic combines classic car displays and a traditional Concours d’Elegance competition with luxury lifestyle events and presentations.     “China Rendez-Vous is proud to announce the return of Bund Classic in Shanghai on October 16, 2015. The most prestigious classic car showcase in Asia gathers each year thousands of classic car collectors and aficionados from around the world to celebrate during three days the heritage, the culture and the elegance associated to the automobile history. Located in the beautiful and timeless Waitanyuan, the former United Kingdom Consulate on the Bund, Bund Classic is an exceptional opportunity to entertain and attract an exclusive audience around one dedicated passion and contribute to develop a further appreciation for how legends are build.



    The third edition will showcase a large and diversified series of classics from the world’s most treasured brands, and will offer even more entertainment and activities allowing to tell the story of the uniqueness and the craftsmanship of an industry: the renowned Concours d’Elegance and vintage car parade on the Bund of course, but also garden parties, gala dinners, a fashion show, and an exclusive showcase by the 222-year-old auction house Bonhams of their upcoming Hong Kong auctions in Autumn.



    The heart of Bund Classic is its Concours d’Elegance, a contest to determine the most beautiful and timeless cars, in six categories: Pre-War, Post War, Best of Show, Public’s Choice, and Chairman Choice.



    Renowned national and international experts from the classic car industry will make the trip to Bund Classic to join the judging panel and create a world recognized award. Among the 15 judges are: Chief-Judge Sandra Button, Chairman of Pebble Beach, the world’s most famous Concours d’Elegance, Adolfo Orsi, heir of the second owner of Maserati, Alain Li, Head of Richemont AP, Ma Qing Hua, Former F1 Racer, who made history as the first Chinese driver to drive a Formula One car at an FIA, Christian Philippsen, Ambassador for the Louis Vuitton automobile community and jury chairman of the Louis Vuitton Classic, and Liu Tao, Deputy Curator of the Shanghai Auto Museum.”
